About Me
Hi! I'm Karina. At four years old I sat at my father's New computer and wanted to know everything about it. At 12, I taught myself how to code websites using online tutorials. At 18 I pursued a degree in English, minors in Art and Japanese, because I love writing and communication. At 19 I became the front end developer/code editor for my university. At 23 I started working for a military contractor as a technical writer and acquired several certificates for various technical skills and languages.
At 24, I became a Mother, and life as I knew it changed. I truly adventured into the world of people development, both through raising small humans and also through family businesses centered around people and process improvement. This adventure continued in grad school for Science and Technology Policy, and through life as a mother of four children.
There are a million apps and tools to solve truly technical issues, and I have years of experience writing those, but the stop gaps and bottlenecks are most often people, so I keep that first and foremost. We're beautiful, flawed beings, and that won't change, but it can be improved. I build solutions with a pen, a deep understanding of the people I'm working with, and very well-conceived guidelines that bridge gaps and drives progress forward.
When I'm not being a mother or working, I enjoy reading fiction, dancing in my kitchen, being outside enjoying nature whenever possible, and "editing" clothes.
I look forward to working with you and hope to meet you soon.
